Everyday Voice Care: The Wellness Guide for Singers, Actors, and Talkers
When I started teaching voice, I gave out little handouts to my students about basic wellness. After awhile it became a little book, then a bigger book. Everyday Voice Care: The Wellness Guide is now widely used in performing arts programs, teacher-training, and voice clinics. Still designed for browsing, problem-solving, and generally making life easier for both voice users and teachers, the new edition has 40% new and updated material, a stronger emphasis on a holistic, biopsychosocial model of health, and it is co-published by Bloomsbury Academics and the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
“Joanna’s writing is a lifeline between regular people and scientists/academics. I haven’t read anyone else who manages to combine both so well.” — Rachel Lynes, www.singspace.com

“Everyday Voice Care is just what the doctor ordered…a must read for singers, actors, or anyone else wanting to take care of their health and their voice. Highly Recommended!” —Amazon reader review
“Joanna Cazden neither talks down to readers, nor above them. Instead, she lists accurate advice for all voice users.”
— Journal of Singing
“Joanna Cazden’s wonderful book is concise, well-organized, sensible and open-minded. She is up to date on current vocal science, and delivers her wealth of information in a down-to-earth way that should appeal to singers of all kinds. …I’m on my second reading now, and carry it with me all the time. I’ve recommended it to all my students and colleagues.” —Amazon reader review
“A must-have for anyone and everyone who has a voice.” —Voice & Speech Review
